Snapshots display real-time status of your event data viz. total number of attendees, total tickets sold, top selling ticket type, total check-ins made, remaining tickets, total abstracts/papers submitted, most checked-in sessions, among other things.
You can also generate snapshot between a date range to see what it looked like during a certain period.
To set a submission start date and end date for abstracts, go to Abstract settings under Abstracts & Reviews. Choose date for start date and end date for submissions, and Save.
To set a cap on number of abstract submissions allowed per author, go to Abstract settings under Abstracts and Reviews. There you will find an input box. Enter a number there, and Save. If you do not have any limit on number of abstract submissions, leave it empty.

Yes, you can. To display/hide abstracts on author;s public profile, go to
Abstract settings under Abstracts & Reviews. There you will find a button to enable or disable the abstracts from displaying on public profile. Set it to enable, and Save.
To create a File Upload field, do the following:
Go to Form builder > Abstract submission form
Click on Add new field
Choose the file upload field type
Enter the extensions that you want to allow (for PDF, enter pdf in the extensions field)
Choose the submission types where you wish to display the file upload field
Click save. That’s it.
